Online therapy with practical tools and a person-centered approach
Elizabeth Brennan draws from evidence-informed approaches that can translate well to online work. Client-Centered Therapy focuses on building a supportive, nonjudgmental relationship where clients can explore what they are feeling and what they want to change, at a pace that respects their values and lived experience. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps clients notice unhelpful patterns in thoughts and behaviors and practice more workable alternatives, which many people find useful for concerns like anxiety, depression, and stress. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) offers concrete skills for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and relationship effectiveness, supporting clients who want steadier coping during intense or overwhelming moments.Finding the right approach is part of the process. Elizabeth collaborates with clients to identify priorities, goals, and preferences, and then tailors sessions to what feels most helpful and sustainable. Therapy can be challenging at times, and having a steady space to process and build skills can make those steps feel more manageable.
Online therapy also makes support easier to fit into real life. Clients can connect through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or text-based messaging, which can be especially helpful during busy weeks, life transitions, or when in-person care is hard to coordinate.
